Our MSS team is now looking for a talented Cyber Threat I Analyst. You will be working close to Nixu’s international Cyber Defense Center team with specialists within threat intelligence, security operations, incident response, forensics and more. Organisationally you will be situated in the business area for managed security services in Sweden. Your closest team includes people focusing on both technology, service delivery and business.

The team is in a growth phase and your contribution will be a key asset to our development. You will be able to partake in and influence the development and direction of your role as well as the larger business unit. We are a tight team focused on professional excellence all the while making sure that work is fun and rewarding.

Your work will be focused on identifying, analysing and reporting on potential threats within our customer’s environments. Investigate anomalies and conduct pro-active threat hunting. Reporting is done both in written form as well as verbally in meetings with the clients. At times you will engage with clients and prospects as a subject matter expert. Together with your team and colleagues in other departments you will work to refine and further develop our detection services. You will be working with powerful technology platforms as well as purpose-built tools.

You will be assigned a number of customers whose environments you will become expertly familiar with and where you will be responsible for delivering timely analysis of excellent quality.

Your goal is to assist in the delivery and development of our detection and response services, ensuring that our clients get the maximum value from what we deliver. This is a process of continuous development and detection and response capabilities are increasingly important for Nixu as well as our clients.

This is a permanent and full-time position and the work is located at our Stockholm office, but it is also possible to have your base at one of our other offices in Uppsala or Linköping. Much of the work can be done remotely.

What we hope you bring with you into this role:

• Experience from a technical role, within for example penetration testing or system administration. If you are familiar with pcaps, wireshark, Zeek/bro and attacker TTPs you are likely well prepared.
• Analytical – able to absorb large amounts of information and make relevant inferences regarding probabilities and consequences.
• Cooperative – be willing to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Structured – take responsibility for your tasks and perform them with care and attention to detail.
• Be comfortable with routine as some tasks will be recurring.
• High communication and documentation skills in Swedish and in English.

To us, demonstrable competence and genuine interest is more important than formal training. For this reason, chosen applicants will be given a practical test.
